Announcements:

Please observe decorum tomorrow for the visit by our Royal Sponsor. The following forms of dress are appropriate for the parade of nations: traditional national costume, formal attire, event T-shirt with trousers or long skirt and shoes (no sandals). If you have any questions about what is appropriate, please consult event staff. If you do not yet have an event T-shirt of the correct size, please come to the podium to ask for one.

All games on Saturday and Sunday will be played upstairs in the convention centre. If you have not attended this event in the past, please take a few minutes to visit it this evening, to familiarize yourself with the route. When you arrive tomorrow morning, you should go from the elevators down to the convention centre entrance, show your name badge (without which you will be denied access by security), then turn right as you enter the far half of the convention space, go through to the half closer to the elevators, and proceed to the central riser where the Open division will be located, surrounded by approximately 6,000 students.

Director's call: On the third play of the game, Player A made a seven-letter word using all six of the tiles on his rack.

Ruling: The play stands, and does not earn the 50-point bingo bonus, as it was made from an underdrawn rack.
