Second clock failure of the tournament; one button failed on a SamTimer FlipTimer, fortunately right at the beginning of a game.

Marut Siriwangso (THA) has the high game of the event so far, 575-373 over Sitthichoke Boonsiriphan (THA), edging out Sittichoke's previous record in Round 3.

Climbing to the lead for the first time is defending champion Helen Gipson (Sco), 6-0 +482 ahead of world champion Nigel Richards (NZL) +331 and local expert Taewan Sutthasin (THA) +278.

Unsurprisingly, that puts the Scottish singleton team in the lead in the team standings, with a perfect record. In second behind them is the Canadian team of Jim Nanavati (CAN). A closer battle is brewing between Singapore, whose seven team members average 29th in rank but have won only 63% of their games against foreigners, and Malaysia 32nd and 65%.
