CGP Mailing List Archive
Since 1994, Sherrie Saint John has
been tirelessly administering three mailing lists for aficionados of
Scrabble(R) and other crossword games:
- Crossword Games Pro is restricted to tournament players,
and averages over twenty messages a day. I try to pick out those
messages that are worth archiving (see below), judging them on their
significance, clarity and entertainment value. If you think I've
missed one, forward me a copy of it, preferably in HTML format.
I also accept edited resubmissions of archived postings from their authors.
In October 1997, Jim Geary
wrote the first version of his
FAQ for the
mailing list, which contains many examples of messages that are
not worth archiving. :)
- Crossword Games is open to anyone, but is extremely low
in volume.
- Word Game Programmers is for the discussion of word game
software from a programmer's point of view. It has a burst or two
of discussion every year.
Visit the mailing list home page
for information on subscribing.
Before you post to CGP, read Jim's
FAQ.
There are also mailing lists and archives for
U.K.
Scrabble players and
SOWPODS
play, and as a rule I won't be archiving cross-posted messages
(such as British tournament results) here.
