I went on a four-game winning streak, but have lost my last two games, so I'm glad it's dinner time. The last was a 448-453 loss to Shaun, where he outbingoed me FULGATE* GRADATED (his) to PIGMENTA AERATION BANDERS ODONATES (mine, sigh). Quick puzzle: Shaun opened FLOWN 8d, I had AEGOPTU, what did I play?

Mercifully, that game is over and Jim ha secured an 89 point vctory over Mike to push his record to 4-1, leaving Mike at 3-2. Fran has showed up at the director's table empty handed, and Tim has victory #1! Shaun "pimemtoman" Goatcher has defeated Ray to jump to 4-1. 160 points to his spread move him into the lead Peter is now 4-1 after outlasting Andrew 501-408 Addendumto the Mike-Jim match ; Mike let Jim get away ith "twot" John has tightened the field by defeating Albert, both now sit at 3-2
Zev has begun the long road back defeating winless Bernard by 11 points.
Round 5 complete and 7 players withn 1 of the lead!

Dina has just informed that Ray has won the best dressed player award. Ray is resplendent n his tan dockers with a comfortable black golf shirt. Together with a jaunty pair of black lace-ups, he fits the image of a scrabble player on a mission. There is no second place.
Someone in the Fran-Zev game has layed down "filtered" for a triple triple! the score stands at 295-280 in favor of Zev.
Fran Silver has been acclaimed as the best dressed woman, narrowly defeating the lady who stopped by to ask for directions. Congratuations Franny!
I wish someone would challenge something I am getting sleepy.
Finally! Ray has challenged "leariest" oops!
To amuse, a myself I am playing 8tile soloscrabble with 1 osw word minimum. Coolest word sofar is "yrneh#", and the only bingo to date is "tonnags#"
Not one person in here is smiling, altho 2 or 3 of these guys look only moderately depressed. Even Zev's clockhittinggoy looks morose. Later on I may get a chance to interview him for your reading pleasure.

Bernard has just played the second caught phony 3 of the day, scoring a big fat nothing for "EES". Earlier Ray scored the same for "AGU", and Andrew scored 3 points for "URU*" against John.
After 6 complete, Shaun and Jim are alone at 5-1. Shaun winning a recount against Andrew.

Best-dressed Ray "osw? what osw?" Francis has just attempted "TY", which John "yeah right!" Chew challenged after a polite pause. Ray's play included a second Phoney; "hookery", so at least he got his money's worth. Waiting to see if "ty" resurfaces...

Pending a recount, Andrew has defeated Jim by 3, despite playing the phonydog "Alsatian". That will propel Albert to the top at 5-2 +345.
Ha! Ray followed up his "hookery-ty" booboo by playing hookery 2 spots over making " te bar dexy " and scoring a gazillionpoints en route to a big win.
Andrew wins.
