2002 Canadian NSC Registration

In order to play in the 2002 CNSC, you must:

  1. as of October 1st, 2002 have Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
  2. be an NSA member in good standing;
  3. have played in at least four fully-rated NSA-sanctioned tournaments (the Canadian WSC QT and the WSC itself may be included, even though they were unrated) between December 1st, 2000 and October 1st, 2002 totalling at least 48 games (tournament directors may count tournaments directed toward half of this requirement); and
  4. have sent your entry fee and registration so that it arrives by October 1st, 2002.

The fifty players who meet the above criteria whose peak ratings during the qualification period (2000-12-01 to 2002-10-01) are highest will be invited to play in the CNSC. If any of them are subsequently unable to play, the players with the next highest ratings will be invited to replace them. Players who pay and register but don't place high enough to play will have their entry fee cheques destroyed uncashed.

As of 2002-08-28, we are still finalizing details of the event, which will most likely take place December 6-9 in downtown Toronto. This web page will be updated again with further information no later than the end of next week. Players with urgent questions may e-mail TD John Chew at poslfit@gmail.com.
