Various people have mentioned the number of E's and I's remaining in the bag, but what about the other tiles on your rack? The full picture is:

A 3 I 6 N 1 R 4 T 2 U 1

This would suggest to me that it would be a good policy to play off an R as well as I and T, if possible.

Another consideration is the floaters. Currently the only useful ones are N at l3, S at m3, E at j5 and A at b14. Playing TUI and leaving RANT doesn't strike me as too compatible with the A or N.

On balance my preference is to go along with the WSC and play NUTRIA at l3 for 14. It achieves turnover, in the hope of picking E's and S's (and a replacement R), creates hooks for 7-letter words, and gets rid of R, I and T.

PS. Playing SOWPODS this is a no-brainer - ZIT at 13b for 36. =
