It is funny how everyone thinks so differently. It's what makes this game so neat sometimes. The variables are endless.

I prefer JANES. Sacrificing 2 points now will be made up later. Worst case scenario, you are really only sacrificing 1 point and I prefer DL to NL about 4 billion to one! The D let's you extend words and reach premium squares that you otherwise might not have been able to do, and if our next move gets the D to a DWS square, then we haven't sacrificed anything. I'm thinking in terms of our next move being a 6 letter play off of the C, a 3 letter play off of the J, or a new selection predicated upon opp's move.

Finally, I prefer JANES over JEANS for the "E" reasoning, although I really liked Randy Greenspan's thought process.
