I'll go with HYOID, because the E really is quite valuable, even with 11 of them still unseen. However, I'll be very curious to see how HYOID sims versus FOY. I think that HYOID is only maybe 1-3 points better, and the superiority of HYOID is due mainly to having to keep the H after FOY (as well as the extra points, of course). The H is a nice tile, but not if you're working towards a bingo. If FOY turns out to be better, it means that I haven't yet learned from the sims I have been doing recently.
I'll sim it overnight (if I don't lose power -- things here in Montreal are terrible at the moment), and I'll post the results after John's deadline.
BTW, does anyone see any value in estimating sim results as a way of studying strategy? One more thing: although I haven't done this very often, I have found that sims looking 1,2, or 3 moves in advance don't differ in their results very much (based on a minimum of 5,000 iterations).
