In descending order:
- CU(L)LIONS (3f, 72 pts): most points, without allowing a
fairly easy 30+ point comeback at h1.
- COUSINL(Y) (3f, 72): most points; 8s off L or (Y)
less likely than N or S of CUL(L)IONS. Do not like the
prospects of AQUA (42) or a simple DRUM (30) at h1.
- (C)OUNCILS (3e, 63): N at 3h not likely as dangerous
as a vowel there, but do not like sacrificing 9 pts
to CULLIONS or COUSINLY.
- UNSOCI(A)L (3e, 63): Even an innocent GLOW (h1) will
net half a bingo (36 pts).
- SUL(F)ONIC (3d, 60): Sacrifice of 12 pts is not overcome
by greater defense (no 8s of it) as the board is otherwise
open at 15j, 12g, 14b, and, of course, 15b.
- UNCO (a7, 22): pull within 9 with the LS? leave? No way!
- L(A)CUNOSE (14a, 61): Nah! Only gives more opportunities,
bingo and non-bngo, to opponent.
- LAC (14a, 5), LUCE (15g, 6), etc: any non-bingo play
appears to defeat the notion of maximizing distance
between you and opponent on this + next turn.
