Subject: Consensus Game #1, Turn #4
Message-id: <199801250551.AAA17253@coxeter.math.toronto.edu>
Thirty-seven players voted for the third move of this first CGP consensus game, and for the first time the collective wisdom of the net disagreed with Maven's simulations (which favoured JEANS). This turn has me considering more sophisticated voting systems for future games, possibly allowing players to express ranked and/or weighted preferences, because I was worried at one point that JEANS and JANES might split an otherwise majority pro-DL-leave vote. It didn't happen though, and bearing in mind though that it's mathematically impossible to design a fair voting system, I won't make any changes for this game.
Anyhow, thank you all for your continuing participation. The move chosen was 12a JADES (58), you draw DNSW? to your leave of LN, and opponent has replied b10 PLAZA (44).

E-mail your vote for cgp's next move to the list if it comes with interesting commentary, or privately to me otherwise. I will send an acknowledgement message to private votes unless they arrive right before the deadline, but not to cgp votes unless specifically requested. Don't forget to include your rating, and be clear that you're voting. That is, say "I vote for X and my rating is Y" somewhere in your message rather than "I think X looks like the best play, especially after reading about it all week".
