This is a good board to play on, and a good rack. The problem is, nothing quite jibes. My play, without consulting other voters, is AX at a14 for 29 points. Only one play scores better, another 2-tile offeriing, EX at 2n. But the E is valuable for ZEE if another is drawn, or bingos, the EX- possibilities at o1 are dangerous, and I'd just as soon bury the S -hook at 15b.
I also considered TUX, but don't want to give up the 8 points and the case U. The impossibility of drawing another U, and the Q's still being unseen increase the value of the U.
Am prepared to change my vote on seeing other arguments. AX for me is the best of several fair-to-middling bargains.
