Unofficial (but probably correct) Results, Melrose, FL, Jan. 16-18, 1998

Players in the Expert, Competitive, Intermediate, Recreational, and Novice Divisions, respectively, were identified by badges bearing pictures of stars, rainbows, busses, red apples, and green apples, respectively. Phrasings and drawings were conceived by Director Raynie Pate with the able assistance of her 5-year-old granddaughter, Montana. Only the tournament results are given here. A report focusing on the unusual Melrose ambience will be filed by Luise Shafritz. I agree with everything she is going to say.
