First, I'll substantiate Jim Kramer's claim of non-elitism. Since the experts were still playing when the rest of us were ready to hit the road, I told Jim that I would report the three other division results and leave the experts to him.
There were some interesting developments in the Competitive division. Day One, Harmony Kuller was on a tear, winning all six games. I had a mediocre 3-3 Saturday, so went into Sunday with moderate expectations. By the end of the tourney, as it turned out, I'd lost three places and $75 by one point! One of my three losses on Saturday was a one-point loss to Walt Blue. If I'd beaten or even tied him, I would have placed 2nd instead of 5th! Oh, well, at least I made a decent come- back by winning all four games on Sunday. I had several close ones, two that I won by 4 points each, so my cum was on the low side. The results:

My greatest frustration was holding forever, then not challenging two phonies! AARGHH!
