This weekend marked the 13th annual Calgary Scrabble Group Winter Tournament. This year's weather was far more welcoming than last year's record low -40 degree conditions.

This year's trivia quiz was a word diamond, which turned out to be rather simple. Two winners were chosen at random from all correct entries. The winners were Noella Ward and Wendy McGrath, who chose an OSPB and a TWL98, respectively.
A GameTime clock was raffled off with proceeds going to the club (although, thanks to the low Canadian dollar, there weren't many proceeds to speak of). The winner was Angela Marsales.
Door prize winners: Paul Sidorsky, Michel Demers (word judge), Jessica (helper), Jane Smyke, Wendy McDougall, Mike Ebanks, Steven Faust, Shirley Robertson, Jean Gerwing, Dorothy (helper), Allan Simon, Joan Hopgood. Door prizes consisted mostly of stuff from Milton Bradley, with some books added to the mix. I was unable to get the last names of the helpers.
