It was a great turnout after all for the two day tournament in West Bloomfield, Michigan. After severe winter storm warnings of snow up to 7 and 8 inches, hail, sleet and winds, it seemed to have passed over and Scrabble again was on the agenda.
The tournament was well-ran with Carol Ravichandran as director and Florence Laatz as co-director. I seemed to have missed the cookies though...where were they?? Only served in the OTHER room Carol????
Tobi, after attending her first Scrabble Club with Florence Laatz as director in Livonia, Michigan,) ..went home, got on-line, looked for Lee Cooper and lamented to him "WHY in the hell did you tell me to go to that Scrabble club??" Her first opponent was Danny Schey and he clobbered her. She then lost her next three games and went home and CRIED. The following week was her first Scrabble tournament, she beat someone by 200 points and she was hooked!
