2000 Club #3 Trivia Contest
As part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the
founding of the Toronto SCRABBLE® Club, we held a trivia
contest. Each item in the first list below is a true fact about
one of the club members in the second list. Kate Doe and Mad
Palazzo managed to correctly match 31 of the 52 players and facts,
and won free membership for the rest of the 1999-2000 season.
How many can you match? See the correct answers,
and the guesses submitted for each player
and each trivia.
- Fifteen years ago I walked and crawled into the bowels of the Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt. I stood in the innermost chamber where the Pharaoh was laid about 5000 years ago.
- Guess what! I have another interest besides playing Scrabble. Curling!!
- I accepted a lift from a very famous man who was driving from T.O. to NYC. I was sent back at the US border on suspicion of violating the Mann Act (I.e. crossing a state border for the purpose of prostitution)
- I broke my arm at a Scrabble Tournament and had to forfeit one game because of it
- I can put my legs behind my neck (or if that sounds too rude, you could just say I'm double-jointed)
