The Toronto SCRABBLE Club ends its season each year with what the National SCRABBLE Association calls a Local Club Tournament. That's a tournament that isn't listed in the NSA's calendar of open events, but still counts for NSA tournament ratings, albeit with any changes discounted by a factor of three. This year's event will be on June 9th, 16th and 23rd, held at the same time and place as regular club meetings. It's open to any NSA member who can attend those three weeks, and if you're not a member, we're happy to send in your US$20 when we register the tournament.
The tournament will have three divisions (A, B and C). If you are contending for one of the club's divisional championships (which are based on end-of-year championship ratings), you must play in that division. If you are not, you may still play, and you may choose your division based on any club rating you have had this year, playing up or down if you are within 50 points of the division breaks 1307 and 1660 (not 1350 and 1650, as reported earlier). If you have played at least one game this year, your name should be listed below along with your division eligibility.
Asterisked players are in the running for the divisional championships; other players who choose to play do so solely for the glory of winning this nine-game tournament and for the fabulous cash prizes.

Please make sure that you are available on all three nights before deciding to play. If you can't make it one on of the nights, you are still welcome to drop by and play anyone else in the same situation.
If you would like to play, please pay Lisa Kessler $10 no later than June 2nd. If you need to purchase or renew your NSA membership, please also do so by that date.
If according to the list below, you have a choice of division, please indicate your choice. If you cannot play on one of the three nights, you are still welcome to come and play informally (as during our summer hiatus), or act as Word Judge.
