Montreal has defeated Toronto to win the 15th annual Kingston Cup. Toronto managed to hold on to hope until the last round, when they would have won if all 15 team members had won their individual games. Congratulations to Montreal club director Bernard Gotlieb and his team members, especially to Canadian Champion Joel Wapnick, who was undefeated throughout the 13-round event. Montreal won all five rounds today, recovering from a 2-game deficit to lead cumulatively 68-67, 77-73, 85-80, 97-83 and finishing 105.5-89.5.
