(2002) Alison has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary since 1999.

Amalia is living in Toronto, on maternity leave from Price Waterhouse Canada, and is helping to organize our 20th reunion.

André specialises in Korean history at the Department of East Asian Studies at the U of T.

Andrew works for CRAI in Washington, D.C., is married and has two daughters.

Annie's mother lives in Toronto, but we have been unable to contact Annie directly.

Barb is a scientist at the Kunin-Lunenfeld Applied Research Unit and practises geriatric medicine at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre.

"Bill Robertson's second feature APARTMENT HUNTING opens at the Carlton on August 31. APARTMENT HUNTING is the follow-up to his award-winning first feature, THE EVENTS LEADING UP TO MY DEATH. APARTMENT HUNTING is a dark romantic comedy set in Kensington Market. It was shot by Derek Rogers (CUBE, NEW WATERFORD GIRL) and production designed by Kathleen Climie (art director of EXOTICA and THE SWEET HEREAFTER). The music is by Toronto favourite Mary Margaret O'Hara whose album "Miss America" was recently listed by Canada's Chart Magazine as #14 on the list of best Canadian albums ever, and among the top 100 albums of all time by British music magazine MOJO.

Blaise does not have any contact with the Alumni Association.

Brian works for Lehman Brothers in New York. His latest artwork can be seen at www.brianmacmillan.com.

Brian lives in Toronto with his wife and daughter.

Craig edits maps at Mapart in Toronto, has been a film critic at the Toronto International Film Festival, and has a home page. He's also organising a display of embarrassing UTS memorabilia: contact him if you have donations.

[2006-02-14] Ed is still attempting to pass grade 8 art. He is teaching himself to swim but has trouble reading the book underwater. His family describe themselves as 'extremely tolerant'. He recently visited Mike Joy in Vancouver, and invites others to do the same.

After leaving the Canadian Army in 1994, Erik did an MBA and moved to San Franciso in 1996, where he works in the high-tech industry and lives with his wife Karin and their seven-month-old daughter Anna-Liisa. He looks forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Eugene will be in France with his wife and daughter in the fall and regrets that he will be unable to attend the reunion.

FYI I have been back in Beijing since last summer on my second posting here at the Embassy as a program manager for the Canadian International Development Agency (the first tour was 1991-95). My current responsibilities include projects in economic and social policy reform (pensions, fiscal policy, environmental laws, public-sector restructuring, etc.) as well as humanitarian programs in North Korea.

My wife Alison (née Pipa, a graduate of Port Credit Secondary School and former SOMA Secretary-General) is also posted here, as the regional manager for Canada's Export Development Corporation. We have two boys, Sam (11) and Alex (8).

There are two other UTS grads in the Embassy, Jennifer May and Rebecca Netley (who were in Grade 7 when we were graduating); we are scheduled to be joined by Leigh Sarty next year.

Jennifer was a veterinarian in Watford ON, but died of cancer on 2008-04-13. She was survived by her husband, Lyle Arnel.

[2010-10-01] Still trying to set a class record for length of time spent writing a PhD thesis, travelling the continent and the world as copresident of the North American SCRABBLE Players Association, organizing national and world Scrabble championships (thanks, John D for the early experience doing computer work at debating tournaments), chasing after my sons Jamie and Liam with my wife Kristen.

John's company, StrategyCorp, provides public policy consulting service for major clients with needs at all three levels of government in Canada. His political activity has centred on the federal and provincial Liberal Party. He was one of the principal drafters of the "Red Book", the 1993 federal Liberal election platform. John also served as senior writer and policy advisor to the Hon. Paul Martin, MP, in his 1990 campaign for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada, and as a strategic consultant to the 1995 and 1999 Ontario Liberal election campaigns.

John is a frequently-quoted media commentator on federal and Ontario politics and government, for such outlets as CBC television, CTV television, CBC radio, TVOntario, PBS, NPR, the Globe and Mail, the National Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the International Herald Tribune. He has published essays and commentary in Saturday Night and The Idler magazines and various anothologies. John's first book -- Fights of Our Lives: The Five Elections that Made Canada -- will be published next year by HarperCollins.

He lives in downtown Toronto with wife Jill (née Handelman, UTS '87) and daughter Martine Ariel, born in 2000.

Laura lives in Toronto with her husband Marcus, and hosted our 20th reunion class party.

Marcel runs a molecular biology lab at McGill.

Martin writes: "I am a nephrologist (that is a specialist in kidney medicine) at St. Michael's Hospital, and I spend a lot of time teaching medical students at the University of Toronto. My wife, Jeannette Goguen, is an endocrinologist, also working out of St. Michael's. We have two children, Miranda is 7 and Teddy will be 4 on the 25th of October. We are all looking forward to the reunion. Best wishes to everyone in the class of '81."

Mary has been married and living in London (England) for ten years, and works in marketing.

Matthew works for the Trade Law Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Ottawa.

[2002-09-16] Molly is on hiatus from being a professor of Renaissance literature. She lives in Amherst, Massachusetts with her husband, Christoph Cox (a professor of philosophy and musical culture) and their three kids (son, 5; son and daughter, 2.5 -- yes, twins). She invites anyone from the class of '81, should they find themselves in the wilds of the Happy Valley, a.k.a. the Northampton/Amherst area, to stop in and say hi.

[2004-10-21] Molly's children are two years older and now have a baby brother, eleven-month-old Aengus.

Nick teaches Computer Science at Queens.

Rhona is living in Edinburgh and working as a cardiothoracic anaesthetist while (as of May 2004) trying to complete her diploma in high altitude medicine.

Vaidila is an architect with Zeidler Roberts in Toronto.
