We started a few minutes late (the director and organizer were a little late getting on scene and ready), but would make up the time as the four-round morning went on. Dave Wiegand (Portland, OR) and Trey Wright (Sierra Madre, CA) won and climbed to 9-3, a game ahead now of Chris Cree (Dallas, TX), Joey Mallick (Cape Elizabeth, ME) and Lisa Odom (St Louis Park, MN). Steve Pellinen (St Louis Park, MN) loses a big game, and drops behind Jeff Martin (Albuquerque, NM) in the U1700 rankings on spread.
