Amnuay Ploysangngam (THA) finished his game with Panupol Sujjayakorn (THA) quickly even by local standards. Panupol must have scored his 605 points fairly quickly while beating Amnuay 605, but Atiruth Sakdiyakorn's (THA) 675-367 victory over Piengkamol Intarasuwan (THA) took even less time.

For the first time this round, I had the time to get up and actually take a look around at the games in progress. The coolest play by far was CISTVAEN# (anagram of VESICANT, alternate spelling of KISTVAEN, a pre-Christian Welsh coffin-like structure made of stones) triple-tripled by Tony Sim (SGP) for 203 points (through the T, with the V on a DWS) against Pichai Limprasert (THA).

I've been trying to figure out why some players have come up with wildly incorrect player numbers for themselves. Nigel Richards (NZL) helpfully pointed out that each player has a name plate, of the sort that you might see sitting on an office desk, giving their country and name (in the case of Thai players, usually only one name fits), and on the back is printed a player number. Since they reuse these little signs from event to event, the player number goes back to some past year. Since tsh already supports assigning players their favourite table number, I asked Nigel if he would like to have any particular player number assigned to him in perpetuity. In a flash, he deadpanned "1".

Charnrit Khongthanarat (THA) keeps the lead for a third round, and is now at 4-0 +751, leading five other undefeated players: Atiruth Sakdiyakorn (THA), Nawapadol Sayavesa (THA), Adrian Tamas (ROM), Panupol Sujjayakorn (THA) and Marut Siriwangso (THA). Any player who wins a game today will receive a 50 baht prize. Going undefeated earns them a 1250 baht prize instead.
