As of 15:00 on Friday, this portion of the website is undergoing testing in preparation for tomorrow's games.

As of 09:00 Saturday, we are live at this first component of the Scrabble portion of the inaugural Vienna Mind Sports Games. Organized by Living It Loving It under their Mind Sports International brand, this is the second in an open-ended series of events taking place every two or three months around the world, designed to bring together players from several different competitive mental activities. At this event, in addition to Scrabble, we have Poker, Risk, Chess, Backgammon, eSports, Magic: The Gathering. The next one will be in Marbella, Spain, on the weekend of April 13-14.

We have six players signed up for the early bird from four countries. I (John Chew) asked a few minutes ago on Facebook what their four countries had in common: Northern Ireland, England, Poland and Austria; Stewart Holden had the answer right away.

After the four-round early bird wraps up at 13:00, there will be a demonstration game played on the big board, and then the 24-round main event starts, featuring MSI's RFID-enabled electronic board. My codirector (Craig Beevers) and I hope that you'll enjoy the show, and come join the fun at an event later this year.

The answer to the trivia question: all have flags that are predominantly red and white.
