I've spent much of the round playing a practice game with Siobhan Robbie of MSI on the RFID board, making sure that new features are working in preparation for this afternoon's games. If all goes well, we will stream a live game beginning at about 14:15 local time (08:15 EST in North America). When we pause our game halfway through, I have a narrow 241-223 lead, after bingoing BETAINES and COVERTLY to her MYXEDEMA. (Siobhan is not a competitive player, so as a handicap, she got advice from codirector Craig Beevers, World Champion Nigel Richards, her laptop, and was for technical reasons able to view all of my racks on the data feed.)

At Board 1, Wojciech Usakiewicz (POL) is playing Nicky Huitson (Eng). If Wojciech wins, he will win the event undefeated. If Nicky wins by less than 62 points, she might still not catch up to Wojciech, and conceivably finish in third place behind Andy Gray (Eng), who is playing Ewa Kondracka (POL) at Board 2.
