2013 Yokohama ST Commentary: Round 2

At Board 1, it's Keiichiro Hirai (JPN) vs. Kunihiko Kuroda (JPN). Hirai opens 8g ZEK (32), Kuroda replies 9g OHO (32) beneath it. Hirai goes on to win 503-297, including +5 for BANDAGER.

Kien Hung Yeo (MYS) is playing Isao Takemura (JPN) this round at Board 2, and the game starts off with a couple of Takemura's three-letter phoneys challenged off.

At Board 3, Warodom Geamsakul (JPN) just challenged Yoshihisa Itsubaki's (JPN) triple-triple STEaDIES (122) making it 122+5 = 127. That's about the margin of Itsubaki's eventual 428-304 win.

At Board 4, it looks like Tadao Takeda (JPN) has an early lead against Tomu Terasaki, bingoing sHINGLE. Tom manages to play a game within the regulation 25 minutes this time, losing 153-508.

At the end of this round, Henry is in the lead 2-0 +907, ahead of KC +316 and Itsubaki +265.
