Helen Gipson (Sco) reports that her game with Tony Sim (SGP) ended in a comedy of errors, with his not realizing that she was not stuck with the C, and also a misplayed word on his part. Whatever the details, Helen won 510-344 and is momentarily ahead of Chinedu Okwelogu (NGA) by two games, at least until he reports his game.

No such luck for Helen, as Chinedu beats his countryman Lukeman Owolabi (Sco) by the skin of his teeth, 427-423.

Helen is a game ahead of Chinedu. Chinedu is a game ahead of Chris Lipe (USA) and Theresa Brousson (MLT).

In B, of the four leaders, Maureen Hoch (ISR), Sammy Mangion (MLT) and Brid Ni Bhriain (IRL) win their games, and are ahead of Osaghaede Omijeh (NGA) and Eileen Meghen (IRL) by a game.

Lunchtime.

After the break, the top six players, who are still in contention for the top prize in A, will play each other. Threepeats are required to achieve this, because Helen, Chris, Lukeman and Evan Cohen (ISR) have all played each other three times. Helen will play Theresa for a second time next, Chirs will play Chinedu for a third time, and Evan vs. Lukeman also for a third time.

In B, Osaghaede plays Maureen for a third time, Sammy plays Brid for a third time, and Eileen faces Josephine Mayo (MLT) for the first time.
