Helen Gipson (Sco) begins the round a game behind [error: no such id: David] and needs to win both her remaining games to finish in first.

It will take at least 21 wins to get to third place, which will go to whichever one of Theresa Brousson (MLT), Chinedu Okwelogu (NGA), Tony Sim (SGP) and Steve Polatnick (USA) are undefeated in the remaining two rounds.

Helen beats David 497-395, so 1st and 2nd will go to the winner and loser of their game next round.

Theresa loses to Steve, and Tony loses to Chinedu, so Steve and Chinedu will play for third place.
