We are only missing three players this round, who may have gone off to lunch early, or tried to go out for refreshment and not been able to make their way back in. The lunch break will run until 2:30 though, which may give them time to play their games when they return, if their opponents are willing.

I have 8 Windows laptops sitting in front of me for me to install this morning's TSH patches on in the next half hour. Not quite in front of me, of course, because it was when someone put the stack of laptops on my desk yesterday that one of my eyeglass lenses was cracked, and I am not in a hurry to repeat that experience.

One of the players returns, and says that he made the mistake of going downstairs for a snack during the opening ceremony; he was unable to make it past the royal security cordon until just now, and will play his game with 6 minutes on his clock.

Amnuay Ploysangngam (THA) looks like he will forfeit this round due to his official duties.

Games are still being recorded at Board 1 to be posted later; several people have written to me to ask when this will be. I don't know yet, other than that it will be before I leave Bangkok next week.

Vannitha Balasingam (MYS) has graciously agreed to delay her lunch break to play her game with Amnuay, who had already run out his 25-minute clock and forfeited.
