Helen Gipson (Sco) and Jakkrit Klaphajone (THA) are playing a game at Board 2 to see who will face Thacha Koowirat (THA) in the finals. If they should happen to tie, then the place goes to the winner of Pakorn Nemitrmansuk (THA) vs. Taewan Sutthasin (THA) at Board 3.

Director's Call: Player A draws 6-1/3 tiles, asks for the remaining 2/3 tile.

Ruling: Director does not find remaining pieces of tile in bag, eventually locates it them on Player B's rack. Considers requiring Player B to rectify 1/3-tile underdraw by finding another 1/3 tile in bag, instead gives Player A's 1/3 of tile to Player B.

Director's Call: simple tile failure.

Helen said at the beginning of the day that she would be happy with a 5-1 record today, and with a key 440-282 victory over Jakkrit this round, she appears happy.
