Had another excellent khao soi for lunch with Amnuay Ploysangngam (THA).

Came back to find someone had unplugged my laptop and it had crashed.

Director's call: A player has overdrawn by 1/3 of a tile (the paper insert in a three-part tile). The 1/3 tile has been seen. A strict application of the overdraw rule would call for two and 1/3 tiles to be exposed, and one tile to be returned.

Ruling: As both players have seen the 1/3 tile and it is difficult to detect a piece of paper sandwiched between two other drawn tiles, no penalty is assessed, and the 1/3 tile is reassembled with the rest of its constituents and returned to the bag.

Still no table collapses today. I am tempting fate by keeping eight laptops and a printer on my table.

Director's call: 5 tiles disappeared from a completed game.

Ruling: Look at the adjacent game. (Tiles were found there.)

Director's call: Is a tile that accidentally comes out of the bag considered (over)drawn?

Ruling: Yes, according to WESPA rules, which are in effect except where local rules override them. Be careful not to upend a bag.
