Marut Siriwangso (THA) has taken over Charnrit Khongthanarat's (THA) seat at Table 1, based on his first-place standing last round.

I spent most of this round hand-checking the input ratings for this event against the WESPA rating list. Normally this could be automated, but given that Thai players (1) have names that are too long for the WESPA rating software, (2) do not normally write in Roman script, and (3) are not fussy about how their names end up transliterated, it's not surprising that it took me an hour to resolve the 40 or so discrepancies. For example, Noppadon Dechatiwong Na Ayutthaya (THA) plays sometimes as Nappadol Dechat, and Tepparit Vichayasiri is the same person as Thepparit Wichayasiri as are Charae Worapot and Worrapojpisut

Charnrit beat Pakorn Nemitrmansuk (THA) to gain a game's lead on the field for the first time at this event, 9-1 +1297 ahead of Jason Katz-Brown (USA), who is in second place for the first time. Behind them at 8-2 are Lukeman Owolabi (NGA), Marut Siriwangso (THA) and Adrian Tamas (ROM).
