Charnwit Sukhumrattanaporn (THA) begins the second round of the finals vs. Pakorn Nemitrmansuk (THA) needing to win to stay alive, and preferring a big win so that when the third game cume rule takes effect he'll begin the second game in the lead.

Challenged this round: NONACIDS, LUNULE, LITHIC, WAcKIER, ATONEY*, sKIWEAR, GRIT, DEIONIZER.

After sKIWEAR, Pakorn had 257 points and 2:30 on his clock to Charnwit's 242 and 20:30.

After SOMBERS#, Pakorn had 420 points and 1:00, Charnwit had 313 and 18:37.

In the end though, it's points and not seconds that count, and Pakorn wins 463-384 to take the 2009 Brand's Crossword Game King's Cup.
