I'm looking after the tournament again, while Ravee goes out to run errands. An adjudication concerning whether players are allowed to check the score every round even if it bothers their opponent (yes), and a request to reassemble one tile and count another tile bag after a stray tile fell out.

Michael Tang (SGP) brought to my attention Komol Panyasophonlert's (THA) play of a5 WAKF# hooking F-LICHTER# on the triple for 90 points vs. Harshan Lamabadusuriya (Eng); not bad for four letters.

Olobatoke Aka (NGA) stunned his opponent Ricky Purnomo (IDN) by bingoing to empty the bag with ?AEOQTU to an -N for 100 points and the win (see below).

Charnwit Sukhumrattanaporn (THA) is close to clinching a seat in the finals, after his 491-295 victory over Maiyarit Wiwatanaratanabutr (THA). He has a two-game lead over Jason Katz-Brown (USA) and Pakorn Nemitrmansuk (THA), each of whom won their games, vs. Ayorinde Saidu (NGA) and Christopher May (AUS), all by roughly the same spread.

Three other players remain in reasonable contention three games behind at 15-7: Panupol Sujjayakorn (THA), Lukeman Owolabi (NGA) and Helen Gipson (Eng). Helen's increased her spread a little to +380 after beating Nigel Richards (NZL) 504-368, but still trails the others by about 500 points.
