Cecilia Ruto (KEN) and Prachya Pitapho (THA) arrive in time for Round 3, as they had planned, so I paired them with each other while waiting for everyone else's round robins to finish. Cecilia blamed my airport for losing her luggage; I can add Thai now to the list of nationalities for which I have been mistaken.

About a quarter of the field finishes their third game before the last of the players finish their second game, so there is a slight delay in starting the fourth round. No one seems to mind except for me.

We're playing in a four-storey atrium with a domed roof, video wall at one end and shops and curious shoppers all around us. There is a small audience looking down from the upper floors; I don't know if they are fans or just stumbled upon our tournament as one of the crazy things happening in Bangkok today.

The final game results are delayed for a third round in a row by a recount involving a tie game. It makes me wonder if there's something about different about the Thai version of the game.

Charnrit Khongthanarat (THA) remains in the lead, at 3-0 +688. Pakorn Nemitrmansuk (THA) moves up one place to second place at +501, followed by Jakkrit Klaphajone (THA), Amnuay Ploysangngam (THA), Nawapadol Sayavesa (THA), Charnwit Sukhumrattanaporn (THA) and the highest-ranked foreigner, Adrian Tamas (ROM).
