Some players begin playing at the announced start time of 13:30. I don't start clocks until 13:45, and the last player doesn't walk in until 13:50.

The last three rounds of the tournament switch from Chew (Swiss) pairings to the traditional king-of-the-hill with unlimited repeats, but with Gibsonization.

Charnwit Sukhumrattanaporn (THA) has clinched his place in the three-round two-player finals, and moves to Table 2 to play Chollapat Itthi-aree (THA), who is out of contention. He beats him 448-357, and has now won 15 of his last 16 games.

There are about fifty people crowded closely around Board 1, where Jason Katz-Brown (USA) 18-6 and Pakorn Nemitrmansuk (THA) 17-7 are playing their game, which will be the last to finish. If Pakorn wins, he gets to play Jason again in the second KOTH round. If Jason wins, it looks like he'll play Nigel Richards (NZL) 17-8 to try to get the second win he needs to enter the finals. Lukeman Owolabi (NGA) is also now at 17-8, but is more than 300 points behind in spread, so needs some big wins.

Pakorn wins 525-385, so he gets a fourth shot at Jason. Pakorn +1395 now leads Nigel +1217 and Lukeman +898 at 17, behind Jason at 18 and Charnwit at 21.
