The entire Singaporean team is playing at Table 1 this round, where leader Siu Hean Cheah (SGP) faces seventh-place teammate Tony Sim (SGP) again. They last met in Round 14, when Cheah beat Tony 459–440. This time, Tony wins 414–406.

If Helen Gipson (Sco) beats Femi Awowade (Eng), she'll regain the lead. Helen loses, 439–379, and mutters something about "Theresa's curse".

Chinedu Okwelogu (NGA) beats Sam Kantimathi (USA) 461–432 and is now 14–6 +490, half a game ahead of the three who are now 13½ wins: Cheah +923, Evan +591 and Helen +395.

It's a close race now, Chinedu and Cheah are about 5:1 to win; Evan, Femi, Helen and Mikki Nicholson (Eng) all about 10:1.

Sanmi Odelana (NGA) beats Chris Keeley (Eng) 496–371, says he has his lucky Zyzzyva shirt working again.

Division B

Andy overtakes Mario S with his win, reported above, pulling ahead by 53 points of spread, 16–4 +1277 to +1224.

Daniel Milton (USA) wins too, picking up a bit of spread with a 469–263 game against Paul Mifsud (MLT), and is now a game behind the lead.

It's Andy 16 +1277, Mario S +1224 and Daniel 15 +1253, with no one on 14.
