    CHAMPIONSHIP

Sanmi Odelana (Eng) and Wojciech Usakiewicz (POL) are playing at the electronic board this round. Thank you both for helping us test its automatic .gcg file building feature. Sanmi ends up winning the game 466-370, his first win of the event.

Nigel Richards's (NZL) run has come to an end!

Nigel couldn't manage a fourth straight 600+ game, and had to settle for beating Graham Haigh (Eng) 553-369. He's still undefeated though, and now 10-0 +1800.

Weibin Toh (SGP) and Shanker Menon (IND) continue their winning streaks, and are 9-1 +990 and +815; behind them at 8-2 is Wayne Kelly (Eng).

Nicky Huitson (Eng) writes on Scrabble Snippetz: "Winning right the way through until the last move, including my first nine- timer of the tourney, and Shankar went out with CONCHIE to win.. Annoyed with myself but a great game- 511-444 final score".

Biggest upset so far: Ewa Kondracka (POL) beats Theresa Brousson (MLT) 352-346 despite a 732-point rating gap between Ewa's 1200 and Theresa's 1932. It's the low win of the event so far, but a win is a win.

    RECREATIONAL

Suzanne Dundas (NLD) loses her other game to her husband Paul Dundas (NLD) as well, and now she only leads Peggy Fehily (DEU) and Paul on spread, +1038 to +554 and +412.

The low win mark is set twice this round, by Vicki Bradley (AUT) 363-305 over Nancy Alroy (ISR), and Peggy 351-309 over Zaffar Mahmood (AUT).
