Back to 2013 Vienna MSF Scrabble EB Live Coverage Commentary: Round 12[ ] Go to: Before the Tournament, Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, Round 4, Round 5, Round 6, Round 7, Round 8, Round 9, Round 10, Round 11, Round 12, Round 13, Round 14, Round 15, Round 16, Round 17, Round 18, Round 19, Round 20, Round 21, Round 22, Round 23, After the Tournament. CHAMPIONSHIP Nigel Richards (NZL) beats fourth seed Shanker Menon (IND) 572-341, is now 12-0 +2190, breaking 2,000 points of spread, extending his ABSP record to 32 consecutive tournament wins. This knocks Shanker down to two games behind Nigel, behind Weibin Toh (SGP), whose 437-336 win over Wojciech Usakiewicz (POL) keeps him within a game (but more than a thousand spread points behind) the leader. RECREATIONAL Surprisingly, Peggy Fehily's (DEU) 390-371 win over Suzanne Dundas (NLD) this round is the first time a game has been won by fewer than 20 points. It's enough for Peggy to catch up to Suzanne on wins though, and Pam Morris's (AUT) 470-325 victory over Vicki Bradley (AUT) vaults her into first place. At 9-3 wins now are Pam +1169, Suzanne +1141, Peggy +451 and Paul Dundas (NLD) +396. |
