CHAMPIONSHIP

Nigel Richards (NZL) logs a second consecutive 600+ game, 601-388 against Wojciech Usakiewicz (POL); Philip Nelkon (Eng) surpasses him with a 616-399 win over Nicky Huitson (Eng).

With this win, Nigel surpasses Mark Nyman's record for 27 consecutive wins in ABSP rated play, set in 2001-2002.

Shanker Menon (IND) finally loses a game, 399-409 to Wayne Kelly (Eng), and drops to third place at 7-1 +634 behind Theresa Brousson (MLT) +668. Theresa has the closest win of the event so far, 427-422 over Dan Sandu (ROM).

When Weibin Toh (SGP) reports his 356-335 win over Ewa Kondracka (POL), the lowest win so far, he climbs to second place, pushing Theresa to third and Shanker to fourth.

Helen Gipson (Sco) and Sanmi Odelana (Eng) tie Theresa and Wojciech Usakiewicz's (POL) mark for combined total, with a 563-492 (1055) game. Sanmi, who remains winless, played a beautiful game, including BEDTImES triple-tripled through the first E, and a tight-fitting GUANASE making TAV-A, AGO-N and L-A at the end of the game.

Suzanne Dundas (NLD) wins her second game against Vicki Bradley (AUT) 419-326, is now 8-0 +1114 and will face her husband, Paul Dundas (NLD), next.
