I see Siu Hean Cheah (SGP) has regained the lead in his game against Joanne Craig (NZL) by triple-tripling A-bE-yANCES. He eventually wins 420–362.

This round's TSH change: statistics that aggregate across divisions, such as roto standings and total team standings, are now listed in the regular round-by-round rows, rather than taking up a lot of space at the top of the screen.

Amy and I have been reviewing the event schedule for next week, based on what we've learned this week, which is a lot. For one thing, the hotel does an excellent lunch business on Sundays, especially on Mother's Day (or, to grossly oversimplify a lot of European history), or as many here call it, Mothering Sunday (which in some parts of Europe is synonymous with Mother's Day, and in some (of the same parts) refers to the fourth Sunday in Lent, and used to be when servants would return home to their mother churches). (Mothering Sunday, the Christian holiday, is also known as Laetare# Sunday, a lovely low-scoring bingo.)

Where was I. So I had fifteen minutes for lunch today, which I budgeted out in three five minute intervals to line up to enter the hotel restaurant, to line up at the buffet, and to actually eat my meal, and the only reason I got to sit down to eat was that Tony Sim (SGP) gave up his seat for me - thanks!

A similar problem occurs on nine-game days, as the hotel restaurant stops accepting new diners at 9:00 P.M., and we are scheduled to finish play at 8:30 P.M. but may run late.

So we will try slightly lengthening the lunch breaks where we can, but reschedule the tea service to overlap with the game play, rather than take time from it. For example, if the round before tea starts at 15:00, then the tea break would begin at 15:45 and the next round at 16:00; rather than tea at 16:00 and play at 16:10.

We have found out where the air-conditioning controls are, and are ready to deploy the A/C as soon as the room temperature starts to rise, which should be next round.

Helen Gipson (Sco) lost this round, 419–525 to Tony Sim (SGP), and plummets from first to third place. There are now three players on 15–5: Mikki Nicholson (Eng) +1432 (after beating Howard Wilde (Eng) 486–346), Craig Beevers (Eng) +1344 (after defeating Esther Perrins (AUS) 441–427), and Helen +930. Tony is alone on 14–6; Siu Hean Cheah (SGP) is alone on 13–7.
