One of the first games to report in was first-place Mikki Nicholson's (Eng) game against Siu Hean Cheah (SGP). Down 129–300, it looked like Mikki's winning streak would come to an end. She then bingo-bango-bongoed POISERS (77+5), VALETES# (85) and MUNCHER (75), and fished once to go out by extending IS-OPRENE. Final score: the second tie game of the tourney, 422–422. Mikki remains undefeated through 11 games.

As of this moment, 558 games have finished. In 74 of them, the winner has scored 500+ points.

Cecil Muscat (MLT) is leading Class B, 16–11 +313; Brid Ni Bhriain (IRL) is leading Class C, 15½–11½ -56.

Craig Beevers (Eng) beats Helen Gipson (Sco) on video, 454–404 to stay in contention. He trails Mikki by 1½ games and 428 points of spread, with five games to go; simulations show him a 6:1 long shot.

That leaves Cheah, 1½ games behind Craig, contending with Helen, half a game behind Cheah, or the last of the prize money in third place.
